This is Buraaq , an American muslim super hero . I already drew him in a previous painting here so check it out : darkemperor00.deviantart.com/a…
Some of you will notice that this painting was made in 2012 and I didn’t publish it at the time because it was lost within my files . The other reason is that I was afraid to be judge by stereotype people being a terrorist and all because they can't differ good muslins from bad ones. and let's be honest there are a lot of haters and racists' out there and I don’t have time for them .
This costume is my own design so it is not official , there is another painting with the official design but I didn’t finish coloring it yet . you can all check the main design and the previous issues on the official website here :

The story goes as this , the hero's name is Yousf ( Josef in English ) who lives life by his own rules and do pretty much as any of us did in his youth such as car drifting , illegal racing , parties , with a little disrespect for his parents feeling like they are trying to control his life . On one day when he is preparing to go with his fiends to a party he receives a phone call from his grandfather telling that he's parents were shot in the collage by some unknown man . As he panics he rides his car to go to his grandfather and in the process goes in a car acceding. In desperation he cries out for God and suddenly a meteor hits the earth near him and he passes out .Waking up from his coma he finds that he was giving supernatural powers and he decides to use it for the good of mankind .from the issues that I read I understood that he has the power of flight and he can channel fire and electricity through his body .and I forgot to mention tat there is a masteries organization chasing him J
in actuality Buraaq is not the only Muslim super here to be presented ( but to my knowledge he is the first even before The 99 series ) , there was one in DC comics in one of super girl action comics ( before the New 52 ) I just can't remember his name because he appeared in few issues after that and then he vanished .I'll try to look in my old comic library
Simon Baz is one of the Arab characters in DC universe in the Green Lantern Core but they never mention once that he is a muslin, only a half Lebanese half American who lived in Chicago .
Islam is a religion for all mankind , black , white , rich and poor .It isn’t confined on a specific race or people and maybe some of you already seen that in the pictures of Makah . So I encourage you to read about and learn more about it .
